MWMH Trauma Planning Committee Visits Taylor County Hospital
Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital (MWMH) continues to work toward becoming the first Level IV trauma center in the state of Kentucky. On Wednesday, February 20, 2008, members of the MWMH Trauma Planning Committee visited Taylor County Hospital, a Level III Trauma Center in
Campbellsville, KY, to observe a presentation about their trauma program,
tour their facility and witness a simulated Trauma Team Response. This
experience will aid in the development of a trauma response team and rural trauma system at Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital.
MWMH participants included: Keith Claypoole, Respiratory Therapist, Danny Garrett, ER Manager, Beck Bishop, RN, Shannon Muncie, Safety Officer, Betsy Payne, VP of Patient Services, Ron Jackson, EMS Director, Janet Smith, RN, Trauma Coordinator, Sharon Whitaker, Radiology Director, and John Isfort, VP of Networking Development & Physician Services.
